A GIF Viewer w/PICT Converion.

ViewGIF reads files encoded in the GIF standard. ViewGIF quickly and painlessly unpacks and displays GIF files. It can open more than one files at once, limited only by the amount of RAM available on your machine. The program can translate GIF files into PICT format, suitable for opening in almost any Macintosh application.

ViewGIF is shareware and can be registered and permanently unlocked with a $15.00 registration fee. Registering will add a window control menu and a Pan and Zoom feature.

NOTE: Unfortunately, we have learned that the GIF format is not Public Domain and in fact is Proprietary. The owners of this format (CompuServe) have decided to let software developers like us, who have devoted many hours to the development of software that supports the GIF standard, should pay royalties to them for the privilage of making their format portable.

Rather that paying the royalties, we have decided to stop production of ALL software we produce that deals with the GIF language.
